Now come, and find rest in Jesus
You’re Life Is Valuable
We are in the fifth month of the year, and it seems like we were just celebrating the New Year. Time is passing by quickly. We don’t have time to waste when there is work ahead of us; our days are valuable. With every step we take ahead, we get closer to completing our task here on Earth.
As you may have heard, everything has its proper time. We have a laboring season. There are moments when you feel as though you have put in a lot of effort and long hours, but you are not reaping the rewards. Maybe your workload has increased, putting you behind schedule and under constant pressure to finish tasks. Perhaps your body is telling you to “slow down” since you quadrupled your hours and disregarded your health. We are attempting to keep up with time, which never seems to slow down or stop for anyone.
The breath of God is a privilege and your life is valuable. You are born again by the Lord, who also woke you up this morning. He offers you His goodness and mercy. He is dependable. Oh, the depth of His love for you. You know the Lord is watching over you. He desires both the well-being of your soul and the advancement of your health.
Perhaps you own your own company or have a regular nine to five job. Maybe you’ve discovered your calling and are pursuing your goals. Alternatively, you can be asking yourself, “What am I put here to do?” right now. Because you are unsure of what to do with your life, you jump about a lot.
Come Now, Rest In Jesus
We can be so hard on ourselves at times. We are so busy trying to keep up with time that we never pause to take a breather or simply rest. Instead, we just keep moving.
For a little while, I would like to encourage you to stop and rest in Jesus.
Matthew 11:28-30 reads, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. – Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. – For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
When you come to Jesus, He promises to give you rest. Come, rest in Jesus right now. Set aside time to spend in prayer, meditation, and reading the Bible with Him, laying all your burdens and weights aside. Give the Lord your whole heart. Pay attention to what God has to say, and put your trust in Him because He loves you. Instead of working alone, make room for the Lord at your workspace. He will lead the way while He walks beside you. You’ll feel inspired by him and equipped with the fortitude to complete the assignments.
Allow Jesus presence in your workspace and incorporate Him into your workday. As you continue working, you’ll feel more at ease because you’re resting in Jesus.
Thank you for reading this letter, and know that you are truly encouraged. May you always have the presence of the Lord. Indeed.
